Railways in Iraq

World events have focused attention on Iraq in recent years. There was very little information available on the web about the country’s rail network, so I put together some pages with various odds and ends.

The website is completely unofficial, and I’ve never been anywhere near Iraq myself, but hopefully it gives some information on railway matters there. More information is always welcome!

Please supply me with information with regard to the bulk shipping of sulfur to a deep water port (Umm Qasr) would be the most likely location. Also I would like to know the best or usual form the product comes in that area. Thankyou for your time. T Ostertag
